The 80005 series is the first ever standard published under all three internationally recognized standard bodies: the IEEE, the IEC, and the ISO. The 80005 series standard has also been endorsed by the International Maritime Organization.
Working to meet requirements for an international standard for “Cold Ironing” – Patton & Cooke 15kVclass cable couplers were selected by the International Shipping Community as the model from which the Cruise industry standard would develop. Patton & Cooke is also proud to have been a major contributor throughout the standard development process.
Patton & Cooke are also the exclusive authorized supplier of Medium Voltage Cable Couplers to the US Navy, as well as several other NATO member countries, for Cold Ironing of their fleet.
