Mechanical interlocking is one of the most common methods for ensuring safe conditions where electrical connections are present. Connection/disconnection cannot be made without the circuit being safely turned off. Mechanical type Interlocking of cable couplers is an available option on all of the C06 series, 5/8kV and 15kV couplers offered by Patton & Cooke.
